The ebook version of the great book has problems but it is still a worth while read. In the future, a better job must be done with scanning to prevent OCR errors...
The text of this particular edition looks like someone just scanned and OCR'd the book but did not bother to do any sort of editing. Paragraphs are interrupted by caret characters (^) which may represent footnotes? Some characters are all scrambled and look like this "q23048&^*" At best, Spengler is not your everyday easy read, therefore to have paragraphs

In conclusion, there is absolutely no difference whatsoever (apart from 4 or 5 pretty pictures) between the text that can be obtained FREE OF CHARGE at Gutenberg.org and this one, for which $7.99 is being charged.
I lost my two volume edition. This historical comparison of dominant cultures and their demise leads to a similar story for our present time.
